Acupuncture

 

The use of very fine needles inserted superficially along areas of pain and tension aims to correct imbalance and reduce pain to encourage the body’s ability to correct itself and heal. It is relatively pain free although mild discomfort may be momentarily felt and is often described as bruise like, heavy, strange, radiating sensation.

 

What to expect

At Onebody, we use Western Acupuncture, otherwise called dry needling, as we use our knowledge of the anatomy of the body and nerve system to position the needles.

The Treatment Plan

​

We can use acupuncture as a stand alone treatment, or we may decide to integrate it into our physiotherapy when indicated.
